About this visa:
To get this visa you must be an international student and must have been accepted for full time registered course or Part of registered course as follow.
- a certificate IV (except ELICOS)
- a diploma
- an advanced diploma
- a vocational graduate certificate
- a vocational graduate diploma
Note: A certificate I, II, or III course can only be studied as part of a package when it is a prerequisite to your main course of study.
Minimum eligibility to apply this visa:
- You must be accepted for full time registered course or Part of registered course.

- You must have successfully completed minimum Year 12 or equivalent.
- If you are under 18 years of age, you must have acceptable arrangements for your accommodation, support and general welfare for the duration of your student visa or until you turn 18 (whichever happens first).
- You must be financially sound to pay for travel, tuition and living expenses for yourself, your spouse and your dependent children for the duration of your stay in Australia.
- You must have health insurance as condition of this visa. Health insurance can be provided by obtaining Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) which provides medical and hospital insurance.
